| | | Re: Your favourite cycling movies Rather a specialist area, methinks, Jez !!
However, that said, I am trying to recall a 60s/70s film, where two Brit girls are lost in France, one gets attacked (killed?) on a long lonely road and I think they were on bicycles?
This is annoying me now, and would be grateful for anyone to put me out of my misery

| | | Re: Your favourite cycling movies Thanks, Lori
Nope, that wasn't it!
But it's been bugging me and have tracked it down.
"And Soon The Darkness" it is called
A 70's Brit-chiller starring Michele Dotrice. Certain scenes from the rather eery movie have stuck in my mind, so the film made an impact on me. Also, the vast loneliness of the French countryside in summertime comes to mind whenever I think of it. "Two young British nurses spend their holiday bicycling through rural France, unaware that another tourist girl was brutally slain in the same region two years earlier and unaware that they're being targeted by the same fiendish rape-killer who's still at large in the area."
So there you go, Jez! (Although my nomination may well put people off taking a cycling holiday )
