Cumbrian Fells & Lakes

Been on News advising hill walkers to keep of the fells and mountains over Cumbria and Lakes as nearly all emergency cover is involved in the flooded areas .
In my view anyone venturing out into the hills in these conditions is asking for trouble and its irresponsible

I heard there is a lot of damage to the Lakeland paths or bridle-ways, how bad I don't know. But there reckon due the force of water coming from the fells into the valley, it's not too good, ie debris and fallen rocks.

I have the Coast to Coast Walk planned for next year in May or June, however I will keep an eye out for any updates regarding the state of the paths. esq in Borrowdale. I may even change plans and do the Cleveland Way instead, starting from Reeth to Osmotherley and do a complete circular walk.

Anyway, plenty of time to reflect on that one.
