| | | Which gloves for winter? I recently got a cheap pair of thinsulate gloves from a garage,am I right in assuming they dont get any better.I'd really like to know if anybody reccomends any particular gloves for walking, also they need to be quite flexible so I can adjust my binoculars.I'm kitting up for the winter now.Cheers Jason. |

This is useful for cameras and binoculars. You can get them in A//y & N//y or try a fishing shop. I believe that you can also get them in neoprene.

| | | Re: Which gloves for winter? Hi Jason,
I would recommend Sealskinz gloves. I use them for walking throughout the Winter and they are by far the best gloves I've had. Even if they get wet in the rain, my hands stay warm - which is great! They are windproof and breathable too!
They make some thinner types with 'ultra grip', so I guess these would be OK when you're out with your bino's.
Google them and take a look!
Tracey

For wildlife watching I have a pair of Jack Pyke camo mitts. Fingers can be uncovered and thumb and first finger are fingerless for adjusting camera/bins. There's also a zipped pocket where you can put some of those gel hard warmers. |

| | | Re: Which gloves for winter? Brilliant stuff Colin and Tracey,I guessed there would be something a bit more technical out there, and if it works in the field and hasn't just been approved by a sales assistant even better |

Only 11 pairs, so not as bad as I'd thought... |

And mostly very dull and manly, only bit of colour is a red pair of cheap ski gloves, that I keep in my pack as spares in winter. |
