This might be absolute nonsense, but if all else fails might be worth a try.
What about the silicone sealants used for sealing pipes etc. that can be bought at DIY stores?

They are silcone based, and if anything will stick to silicone, then surely another silicone product might be worth trying. Well, they seem to stick to everything else they touch with a vengeance.
