Yes, being 52 years is nice. I feel fitter now than when I was 22 years, Coast to Coast next again and will be back-packing it. The temple of Foxy is gaining.

52 ain't so bad is it? All those horrible teenage, twenties and thirties problems have simple vanished, the 40's are over and done with and the bus pass is about 13 years in the future. I like 52, it likes me too, so I'm easy

Pah... You young 'uns, I'm 53 and am definitely fitter than I was in my thirties. When I get home from work I'm straight out for a long walk or cycle ride. I ride a motorcycle to comute all year round in all weathers, apart from snow, and often go camping with fellow motorcycle 'Enthusiasts'. Also I now seem to have a different attitude to life, I have finally realised that it's not really that important that every body likes me, or I need to please others all of the time. As for bus passes don't we get them when we are 60?

No actual idea when the things are available. My dad says the (incredibly offensive word) government can insert them into (less offensive word) as far as he's concerned. Then comes the tirade about (offensive phrase) bus passes. So I don't ask, ergo, I was guessing. All I know is the 'old uns' around here have to wait 'til post 0930 after the Kid has gone to school to use their passes. Notice the singular! And by that time all the young moms wiv screamers in pushchairs (buggies) and mobile phone brigade are on the buses. Yuk! Don't want one

I'm 55, retired, fit as a fiddle and love life. Walk around 10-15 miles regularly and feel better than I did 30 years ago.

I'm a piffling 51 and riddled with arthritis, but I can still out-cycle my son, well, for the first hour or so, till the hips start aching anyway

My partner is a couple of years my senior and is in the gym virtually every day. I get down there when the mood takes me and out on my bike two or three times a week for anything between 10 and 30 miles.

Sounds like it's all true - you old fogeys are much fitter than a young whipper-snapper like me (just turned 49). If I so much as look at a push bike I have to go and lie down for twenty minutes!

Bit like me, ron. Only I'm 53 (soon) still working, sort of fit, can still do 50 miles on bike or 20 miles walking

Was going to do Coast to Coast bike ride, was going to do Lyke Wake Walk. No, instead doing the Cleveland Way c/w Tabular Hills. Although 30 years ago I was just starting to do walking and biking (again) never looked back since.

Is it true, that Men take stock of thier life in the 50's or 60's. I keep thinking back to the 1970's when I had long hair, platform shoes and flares.

Yes, Dave. I was up at 7:00am, brought in the 4 wheelie bins and off out on the racing bike for a 15 miles run, felt good. Oh it's nice to be old(ish)
