| | | Places to visit around Goathland Next week, my son and I are going camping at Goathland, on the North Yorks moors, both keen photographers, does anyone know of any special places to visit while we're up there, either of a photographic nature, or for its wildlife content? |

| | | Re: Places to visit around Goathland I have visited Goathland quite a lot over the last 20 years and a great stay, I've camped at the superb Abbot's House Farm, a lovely setting.
There is few places to visit and photograph. I can recommend these little gems.
Beck Hole
Thomason Foss
Darnholme
Wheeldale Roman Road
Rosedale Abbey
Ellerbeck
Grosmont for steam trains
Mallyan Spout
Falling Foss near Little Beck
Newtondale
Cross on Lilla Howe
Hole of Horcum
Levisham Moor
Dalby Forest
Eskdale
Enjoy your stay in this lovely part of North Yorkshire, I walked through it on my recent coast to coast walk. |
