Can anybody give me details of good places to stay for weekend walking in Wharfedale, Grassington, Buckden, Bolton Abbey area. Thanks

We have stayed in a cottage at Starbotton before and i see the local pub (Fox and hounds) has accomodation now. Any suggestions?

The White Lion at Cray, right at the top of the dale is great. The missus and I stayed there last spring. Comfortable room, good grub, decent ale, a landlord with character and reasonable cost.
Also Lance, the location is stunning, right by the river, with plenty of waterfalls and the mighty Buckden Pike, the lord of all it surveys. The Curlews should just be coming back now as well.
Oh such memories. I wish I was there now, sat by the fire, with a pint of good ale, looking at my map and planning the morrows walk.
