| | | Re: where did you walk today? I'm suffering from the Dreaded Lurgy at the moment, so haven't been for a walk for a few days. This photo was taken on my last walk, last Wednesday.
It wasn't taken in Black-and-white, I was just looking into the sun and it's come out that way.
The first time I crossed this valley, I met a little boy poking a long stick into a big puddle. His grandfather told me he was 'fishing for alligators'! So I always keep a wary eye out for large reptiles whenenever I pass this way now. Flamstead, Herts.
During the walk I had a fleeting glimpse of a male Bullfinch, and twice saw a Buzzard. The first Buzzard sighting was, rather surprisingly, while I was sat eating my lunch in the middle of the large village of Redbourn. |

Your walk looks gorgeous, just as your beach walk does from previous pictures you have shared.
Must say that Flamstead looks the kind of lonely place an alligator might just hide out in lol take care he he

How lucky am i [/quote]
That top one looks like Marsden Bay, and the bottom one looks like South Shields beach looking towards Trow Rocks?
Didn't walk anywhere today, was supposed to have yesterday off but was cancelled, so now have Friday off instead to go out walking. Hopefully the weather will get brighter so I can get some decent pics!

| | | Re: where did you walk today? Took a walk along Marine Drive, near Southport this morning, whilst at Marshside RSPB reserve. Loads of good stuff there yesterday according to the visitor's book (male Hen Harrier, Merlin and Barn Owl). Nowt today!
In the afternoon, strolled round Martin Mere, best bird, Marsh Harrier. Spent awhile learning how to use my new camera (decidedly patchy results so far).
Nice idea for a thread by the way.

| | | Re: where did you walk today? There are some lovely photos on this thread The only walks I've done recently have been from home to bus stop, bus stop to work and back but I'm planning on at least one long walk this weekend so hopefully I'll be able to contribute with some photos this weekend.
