Weather forecast looks a bit better for next week, with at least some sunny intervals. So I'm hoping to get a couple of good long walks in. |

Great pics everyone!

One simply has to get out there and look for the beauty that is all around....but I suspect that I'm preaching to the converted here! |

| | | Re: where did you walk today? We were up in Sunnnydale country on Sat. Following a visit to a records office (family history) we had a little wonder around Cromford. My first time in the area, very beautiful can`t wait to get back.
The building is Cromford Mill, the worlds first cotton mill. We saw Mallard ducklings here & massive trout! Around the canal we saw Eel & Pike.

| | | Re: where did you walk today? On Monday afternoon we had a drive around the Arnside and Silverdale area. The weather wasn't as bright as I would have wished but it did stay fine. We had a couple of short walks in two of the woods but the wild garlic seemed to have blocked the bluebells out. On the way home we stopped off at the old quarry on Warton Crag and saw what to me appeared to be a Red Cowslip.
Regards
Dave

| | | Re: where did you walk today? I walked about 13 miles today, starting from my home in Kensworth, going over Dunstable Downs to the village of Totternhoe and returning via a different route. Path behind Kensworth church Path around Kensworth quarry London Gliding Club and the Vale of Aylesbury from Dunstable Downs Path into Sewell Path by old quarries at Sewell Path at Totternhoe Knolls nature reserve View from the top of Totternhoe Knolls Path along the foot of Dunstable Downs
I saw a Common Whitethroat and some Pied Wagtails on Dunstable Downs, and some House Sparrows as I was returning to Kensworth. Greater Stitchwort is really brightening the hedgerows now, along with Bluebells and occasional Yellow Archangel. |

SE Cumbria
On Wednesday afternoon we made the short journey to Brigsteer Park just north of the village of Levens. My intentions were to have just a short walk through Brigsteer Park. However on returning to the car I noticed a signpost to Sizergh Castle. The visit there was well worth the pain I had in the knees the following day.
Regards,
Dave

| | | Re: where did you walk today? Lovely pictures of bluebells & a lovely walk, Pete
I did the same walk as this time last week along the Thames. I didn't take my camera today, the purpose of the walk was to get my very stressed hubby out of the house & away from the phone, and typically of my luck, I saw so many things I'd have really liked to take a photo of, birds, insects & flowers Another trip is planned over the next few days!
