A couple of hours in and around Cerne Abbas yesterday afternoon. Weather was glorious, very hazy in the distance, but the paths were dry, they do get very muddy when it's rained.
Popular pub in the village, built in 1540 and still going strong!
Some of the old houses in the centre of the village.
View to the NE from above the Giant.
A clean Giant. It was cleaned up last summer and now stands out very well, especially in the afternoon sun.
View further up the valley towards Minterne Magna. |

Why not settle for a great holiday on Isle of Arran. A mixture of wild and tame with lots to see and do.

| | | Re: where did you walk today? Another 16 miles and 1953' to my walk tally, getting good and fit for C2C. Very windy, but dry day. A walk that went thru moorland, farmland and coastal path, ended up in the pub in Saltburn.
These strange looking animals, can't remember the name of them.
This bridge would of carried steam trains on the Saltburn to Whitby line.
Looking north to Boulby, highest cliffs on the east coast of England.
Looking south to Staithes, along Cowbar Lane.
A old coble called Repus on Skinningrove beach.
A plaque explaining the Repus and it's history.
Looking north to Saltburn by the Sea.
The remains of Saltburn Pier. (was longer than that) |

| | | Re: where did you walk today? Great shots Sunny, I knew you'd have some good ones. Julia bradbury did a program walking around Derbyshire setting off from Bakewell, it must be great to have that on your doorstep, I can see why you like walking so much. My uncle does wood turning and it's great to see the way he makes allsorts.
Who's that sitting under the tower btw? |

| | | Re: where did you walk today? Great stuff I particularly liked the boat memorial and the old bridge. I think the animals are Alpacas, we have some near here.
