The first time I saw it, there were rabbits hanging from the porch bit and some skins nailed to the wooden walls!
There are always chickens scrattin' around and last year, I saw a humongous Turkey! That disappeared though, so it obviously went in the cook pot for dinner! | No No that's not me at all, no need to come and check it out either, no you won't find me their

| | | Re: where did you walk today? A very long walk for me today, about 17-18 miles I should think, from Kensworth to Ashridge, Aldbury, Pitstone Hill, Ivinghoe Beacon and back via Dagnall and Whipsnade (all around the point where Beds, Bucks and Herts meet). A very grey day, so the photos don't do the scenery justice.
It was a great walk for seeing birds - Red Kite ( ), Buzzard, Raven, Long-tailed Tit, Green Woodpecker, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Jay, Fieldfare, Yellowhammer. And I spotted a few wildflowers - Lesser Celandine, Red Dead-nettle, Coltsfoot, Dog's Mercury. Footpath across the Gade Valley, between Studham and Hudnall Bridleway through Ashridge Ivinghoe Beacon and Steps Hill from Pitstone Hill The path along Gallows Hill from Ivinghoe Beacon, looking towards Whipsnade |

| | | Re: where did you walk today? Looks good, Claire, I'd be wary of that boarded bit too!
I did another bit of the Cerne Valley this afternoon. The wind was very strong up on the top of the hills, but in the sun and out of that wind it was lovely.
The house in the middle is the dower house to the Up Cerne Manor and I had parked my car opposite to it.
Another angle on the Cerne Giant. Yesterday, someone put a Red Nose on him! |
