As I walked near a thicket of heather, a roe deer just 8 feet from me, quietly stood up and silently walked away. Then a second hind arose and followed to a safe distance where it stood and watched me for several minutes. I was about to leave feeling thoroughly happy with my experience, when a third stood up and quickly joined the other two. After a magical moment when all three stood together sniffing the air and watching me observing them, they moved off in unison disappearing into the russett coloured bracken and heather.
If they had stayed still, I would not have realised that I had passed by a group of deer within a few feet. Isn't it wonderful that such a large animal can be so close and yet invisible.
It was also my birthday and the sun shined all day.

Can 't find any limits described anywhere for image size: mine are all 3000 by 2000 pixels.

| | | Problem solved Well I have an answer but not a solution.
Not sure I should only have got the information after failing to post and then gone back and ultimately tried trouble shooting
Q. My images don't appear when I've uploaded them
A. Your images must have a filesize less than 0.5Mb (512kB) and preferably a lot smaller
I really think that information should be available to people before they post something too big....and i h ave only found it in trouble shooting after failing several times. Now my only probelm is to get my image size down to 512Kb.
I do not see any way to do this : I have Picassa but there doesn't seem anything on that for resizing...there must be a simple way..............sorry I know this is way off topic but I would like to be able to post to the thread pictures I took yesterday.

I usually resize my pictures to 800x600 for the images Gallery (for forums). |

| | | Thankyou to 2dogs2000 Here is my picture of the Red Grouse that I tried to post yesterday.
Tried the programme suggested by 2dogs2000 and found it not impossible to install and to use..
Did the walk again today: no grouse, no pheasants, but no grouse. It was a wonderful sunny afternoon for a stroll and I did see a robin just before I got back home.

There is a very helpful thread somewhere about how to post photos on WAB, I had a quick look but couldn't find it. I use the free Picasa tool for photo editing and resizing. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
