| | | A Double Coast to Coast Cycle Ride I'm planning a Double Coast to Coast bike ride in the early part of September. This is ofcause across the Northern Pennines, over to the Lake District and return to Robin Hood's Bay via the Yorkshire Dales and the Yorkshire Moors.
I will be doing the ride in 6/7 days and will be camping. I will taking photos and hope to post the best ones on the forum.
In the next few weeks, I will be check-listing the gear and looking for a decent route.
Although, I've done offical C2C ride 7 times. I will be doing parts of that and some of the W2W. |

| | | Re: A Double Coast to Coast Cycle Ride Good luck! Hope you have some decent weather, and I look forward to seeing the photos!
I came across part of the C2C route when walking near the Whinlatter Pass in the Lake District a couple of years ago. |

| | | Re: A Double Coast to Coast Cycle Ride Thank you for the replies. One question is I've noticed is there is only a Gallery, is it possible to post onto the thread directly or must it be in the Gallery provided. I understand the rules about photos. On the forum, you can post the photos directly onto thread with text. |

| | | Re: A Double Coast to Coast Cycle Ride I hope to get some nice shots of the Lake District, North Pennines and the Yorkshire Moors. Although I'm camping, maybe a nice sunset from the tent porch would be nice, depending on the weather.

| | | Re: A Double Coast to Coast Cycle Ride The bad news is the double coast to coast is cancelled, due to bad weather. It's pouring down here in Teesside.
However, the good news is I have another route I can take instead and will set tommorrow.
Head towards Swaledale, Kirkby Stephen, Mallerstang Common, Hawes, Catterick Bridge, Eskdale, Goathland.
Then take the steam train to Pickering, Staintondale, Scarborough, Ravenscar, Robin Hood's Bay, Hinderwell, Danby, Blakey Ridge, Hutton le Hole, Helmsley, Hawnby, Osmotherley.
It seems this route I've worked out this afternoon is more interested than the coast to coast.
Let's hope the weather improves over the week.
