| | | School Holidays....Places to go.... If your ever in the south of Cumbria near Kendal may I suggest a visit to the Lakeland Maize Maze....a great day out.
We took the two eldest granddaughters and a friend there yesterday. I won't post a link as I seem to get a letter from the moderators every time I do....Just "Google" it.
Regards,

A quick Google shows that there's a firm that has built them in about 20+ locations throughout the country (including the Lakeland one, but not the one I went to). |

Regards,
Dave | As I'm sure you know, members usually only get a PM from the mods when they repeatedly post links (or repeatedly make reference) to the same website, especially when it's their own or a friends

for those in the south there is also one in oxfordshire at the millets farm centre on the 415 between kingston bagpuize (we have some great place names down here - imagine naming a village after a saggy old cloth cat , even if emily did love him ) and abbingdon
i really cant put a link to that ones website as it is largely comercial in nature - farm shop produce etc.

| | | Re: School Holidays....Places to go.... My father always took me to a local wood or if I was lucky on a day trip to a beach. He showed me all the different types of wildlife and tried to make it as fun as possible - mini competitions and things - as most of my friends had little interest in nature. We also used to make day camps and have a fire (not allowed everywhere I know but...) it used to be great fun. What's more it's cheap to do and a good fun way to learn more about nature and the environment..especially wildlife on your doorstep, as there's just so much of it that often goes unnoticed.
