| | | best trailer tents for solo campers? Hi there,
New to the forum and new to camping!
I'm wanting to buy a used trailer tent, no wider than 1.5m to fit in storage. I'd be setting up on my own, so it'd need to be easy for one person to manage.
Does anyone recommend any particular make and model with this in mind please?
Thanks |

As for storage quite a few trailer tents can be stored on there sides or even on special wall brackets,,,,
Guess you are going to have to do your research

| | | Re: best trailer tents for solo campers? For a solo the Racletts are in my opinion excellent; pull up flip the lid over and the tent is up pramhood style bedroom to the left firm dry lounge floor to the right awning optional.
I actually owned a Cabanon Venus 2 berth a very good unit which came with an awning as standard
A winterised Dandy is very nice especially the later models in blue and white
I saw a really good example just before I bought my Eriba Puck light caravan
(also fits in a garage)

Yes I like the folding campers too, but been advised that prob too heavy to manage (ie set up) on my own. The trailer itself would be heavier to manage too.
I watched a video on setting up a Raclet Solena 2 berth tt earlier. That looks incredibly easy and def caught my eye. Must investigate further.
Thanks again for your advice. Got a feeling I'll be back for more as time goes by! |

| | | Re: best trailer tents for solo campers? The Camplets open the same way and look really good, but the trailer is too wide.
The Combi Camps seem to be similar too, but not as easy to get info on those. Will keep trying though. That said, I have a child-free week this week and am very tempted to get on with it before the summer's gone! Looking out of the window, maybe I'm too late already?? lol |

| | | Re: best trailer tents for solo campers? That's interesting, thanks. All very important to know.
I had assumed an awning would be necessary for all but the shortest of stays, so looks like back to the Venus then!
