| | | South Cumbria -- Humphrey Head Yesterday we revisited a place that we haven't been to for a number of years. HUmphrey Head is a delight for anybody interested in nature with many varieties of flowering plants. It is owned by the Holker Estate but managed by Cumbria Wildlife Trust managing part of it as the Joy Ketchen Nature reserve.
Regards,
Dave

It was a gloomy old day towards the close of a winter when I was last there.

Thanks for that Dave. I wouldn't mind seeing the green winged orchids. I've only ever seen them down south and it would be nice to see them in northern counties.

| | | Re: South Cumbria -- Humphrey Head When I was walking at Silverdale recently there was a NT sign at Bank House saying there were Early Pyrple and Green winged orchids there but I only saw the Early Purples.
