henrya | they will - which is how i got the stihl pair of c/saw boots - however the issue is with identifying a decent toetectored walking boot - also our budget is limited and i cant justify asking for £115 unless the boot is guaranteed to last longer than 6 pairs of bog standard industrial toetectors.

| | | Re: Steel toed walking boots Hi ... here's my two penn'orth (for what its worth) ...
A couple of years ago, I worked as a Tour Guide (for School parties) at a local Power Station .. and was required to wear safety clothing on site .. The tours were conducted throughout the year .. and in all weather conditions ..
I was issued with a pair of Hi-Tech "Altitude II" steel toe-capped boots .. made from Nu-buck & with a Goretex lining .. they're the most warm, dry & comfortable safety boots I've ever worn .. and still going strong ..
Unfortunately, I don't know where the Power Station "sourced" them from .. as I was only asked for my shoe size .. prior to them being issued ..
Might be worth having a look at their site ...
Usual caveat applies .. "I have no connection with .. etc etc" ....
Bye for now ..
Kev ..

I've treated them well and they are not showing any sign of giving up the ghost. | I dont think i can justify another pair of c/saw boots especially as my sthills are only 18 months old (these are great c/saw boots but too rigid for general wear) - however these FORTEC V8 POWERLITE BOOTS General Safety Boots Buy UK off the same website looks like they might meet the bill.
the only problem is that i cant use my procurement card for card holder not present transactions so i need to find somewhere where i can go and buy these physically.

Might be able to help you out for a change as you have helped me a few times in the past. I work outside and have to wear Boots that conform with EN ISO 20347 and they have to have a sole penetration resistant plate S3 certified, I work out doors all day long. The boots I use are Magnum Boots Elite II 8" Leather CT/CP and most of the guys at work buy these as we prefer them to the ones we are supplied with.
The toe and plate protector are a composite so the boot is lighter than with steel toes but conform to the ISO regs.
The boots have a memory foam sole are heavy duty and are waterproof/breathable. Sizes from (UK) 3 - 14 and Eur 35 - 49.
A darn good boot and they last well on the ranges and all rough terrain.
Have a gander at Magnum Boots | Global
All the best.
