| | | Re: Cairngorms Holiday......... Lovely pics...I completely failed to see a red squirrel when I last went to Glenmore, I suspect they were all being sensible and staying somewhere sheltered as the weather was grim (unlike me...who was camping in a tent at the Glenmore campsite ).
I particularly like the brambling, as I've never seen one before |

I particularly like the brambling, as I've never seen one before | I've seen a few brambling over the years - including a big flock once thro the trees on the front at Llandulas in North Wales. We've had them outside the camper in the New Forest once (long before I had a lens that would reach!) and 6 recently on Astley Moss in with a couple of hundred strong chaffinch flock............ but to get one in front of the lens at last was very gratifying (I'm sad arn I?!)
Phew tent?? the first night we arrived it was apparently minus eleven - everything froze even the campers engine.......... and it was cold - we were fine in bed but i remember sticking my arm out at one point and contacting beads of moisture from our breath condensing on the outside of the sleeping roll ............... Brrrrrrrr
Pauline
PS There's been a delay with the rest of my pics - they are nothing outrages - just more snow bunting - in snow this time, chaffinch, a couple more of the squirrels - they will be here eventually!!
