Camping in Berkshire

Hello All,

I am looking to take a short break, maybe two nights, preferably to a woodland area in Berkshire some time in the next few weeks.
If a lake happens to be nearby that would be an additional bonus.

I am in real need of assistance finding a location that is both secluded and accomodating to those who wish to "sleep under the stars", as it were.

Usual work pressures mean I simply have to get away from anything even remotely commercial, which leads me to believe I require somewhere that is not your typical camp-site. no noisy children (no offence to those of you lucky enoughto have them!)

I know it is a big task, perhaps even insurmountable, to find a location that is far enough away from any motorways or main roads. But if any of you here know a place that fits my bill, I would be most pleased to know where it is!

I can't think of one without children but there are a couple of country parks in Berkshire which have camp sites and lakes. They're both within easy reach on the M4 but not close enough that you have to sleep to the hum of traffic! Considering Berkshire is so over populated and has a major motorway running through it peace and quiet can be hard to find!

Another option would be south Oxfordshire, there are camp sites along the Thames between Reading and Oxford.
