Walking with dogs.

Just come across this new site set up specifically for those who walk with dogs. It's centred around the Lake District and will rely on people adding there own walks to it.

Lake District For Dogs - Home - Walks for Dogs In the English Lake District

Hi naturelover,
We used to have a Jack Russell/Manchester Terrier cross a few years ago who walked all the Lakeland fells with us sometimes doing as many as 18 miles in the day. When she passed away we never wanted another, nothing could replace her.

Please remember from what I can gather it's only as good as outside contributors make it.

Re: Walking with dogs.

You can find these walks on the web for most areas in The country and Waterstones and The Works(bookshops) also do Books on this subject as well.. I have a couple that cover Kent. and have found several sites on line when looking for Places to go on holiday where you can both walk dogs and see lots of wildlife at the same time.

Re: Walking with dogs.

Is there a sister site for people like myself who want to go walking without seeing or hearing a dog?...

Dan, given your desire for more honesty in WAB posts I hope you'll take this in the well-meaning spirit intended - it's time to switch your computer off and go to bed - your negativity tonight is becoming rather tiresome

I'd be interested to know more about those books on Kent. I live in Edenbridge and looking for new places to walk my Golden Retriever. Can anyone recommend places?

A good book is By the AA and is 50 walks in Kent and it gives lots of information on type of walk, difficulty, and if suitable for dogs...You can get other books in THE WORKS and WATERSTONES..

Here is a couple of dog walking links for kent
