It is. The area as a number of nature reserves and of course the RSPB at Leighton Moss.

Silverdale is the most wonderful AONB and the wildlife is superb, especially the butterflies.

Oh I so love the lakes and surrounds... must get myself over there soon for the stunning leaf colours on the trees now

The Cove looks so lovely, and just makes you want to set up camp on the shore there forever.... ahhhhh bliss!

Gatebarrows, Trowbarrows, Middlebarrows, Warton Crag, Eaves wood, Arneside Knot......to name just a few of the delights the area has to offer.
