| | | cycling Cardiff to Paris No where else to turn A handful of mates are planning to cycle for charity from Cardiff to Swansea in May, I've been roped in as mobile support, (sneaking birdwatching bins and diggie slr into holdall ), due to sheer laziness . Has anyone any idea where we could obtain suggestions for a road route pls ? Been on google all evening and can find nothing of help.
thanx

| | | Re: cycling Cardiff to Paris I'm a bit confused, are you cycling cardiff to paris or swansea, your title and post contradict
Any route planner, such as theaa.co.uk or rac.co.uk or multimap.co.uk should help you find a route, you can choose non motorway, etc.

A bunch of mates from swansea are cycling Cardiff to Paris Mind would be easier doing swansea to cardiff cos I'm dreading a suggested 12 hour ferry trip

I'd be more inclined to cycle to London or Kent and get the train over to the Pas de Calais with a less lumpy ride down to Paris ....
... but then I'd probably cheat and get the train all the way!
Good luck, whatever .... |

Nice to take ferries if there's a chance of seeing whales or whatever but realistically the tunnel saves so much time and energy ... and money ...
... having said that, I've never tried to take a bike over ... don't know how it works ... Quote:
