| | | Another Lakeland walk 18th September 2007
Four new "Wainwright" summits today. We left the car at Scawgill Bridge and walked steeply up to Graystones. From there we went to Broom Fell, Lord's Seat and Barf before descending into the Whinlatter Forest and back to the car.

Yes, as we discussed the other day on another thread, that one is similar to a walk I did with a friend a couple of years ago, only we did it in the opposite direction. We started at the Whinlatter visitor centre, then took a path down to the valley then came back up a very steep path past the Bishop of Barf (bit too steep for the first climb of our holiday!) then followed your route in reverse. We didn't get quite as far as Graystones, descending from Widow Hause and making our way back to Whinlatter pass and the visitor centre (where you can usually see Siskins on the bird feeders!) |  | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
