Back from the Lakes......Walk 3

We did this walk on the Sunday. It was a most unpleasant day and the pictures unfortunately reflect that.

Think your site's really good. Started walking around there about three years ago and your site has provided me with some new ideas as I've done most of the more "famous" fells now!

It's something I'd like to do before I get too old, is visit the Lake District again and follow some of Wainwright's walks. Been down that way several times and always enjoyed it.

I'd love to go back again too. Went for the first time a couple of years ago but got involved with some conservation work that was going on so didn't get much walking in. Did a lovely low level walk (everyone else was doing the higher level walks so it was peaceful on the lower ones

) along the river from Ambleside to Grassmere; not sure which way i went back, took a funny...err scenic route!...and ended up at the top of the waterfall in Ambleside

Saw lots of wildlife - mainly birds and quite a few dippers!
