Very poor website, with totally wrong information.
Dunlop was a Scot, not Irish, he was born in Dreghorn (about 6 miles from here) ;-)

Robert William Thompson I salute you. Thanks for setting it straight! Maybe hardly surprising as Scotland had the first University in britain, I didn't know that either until the other week.
