HD video editor
Is there any freeware to edit my HD videos from my new Hitachi cam that are saved as *.MOV files ? I've used the supplied ArcSoft Totalmedia HDCam to trim/merge clips but its very basic with no transitions/titling options etc Any thoughts?

Not sure if this might help:

Convert Your Digital Camera QuickTime Movies to WMV or AVI

It suggest using Quicktime software to convert to AVI.
BTW your video from your new camera of the snow at Epsom looked very impressive.
