| | | Videos using a bridge camera I've been experimenting with the video on my Fuji camera. Did some of wildlife for use when I am working with the kids at school. Youtube isnt encouraged but the kids can use this - hoping the link will work... Schools Tube :: Video :: Pond Dipping http://www.schoolstube.com/viewVideo...Wetland_Centre
Dont use the full screen mode - not v good quality, try the download option which will use your media player, just dont bother to save.
This is for the Kids remember

| | | Re: Videos using a bridge camera What did you use for your lovely waterfall? I keep looking at 'proper' video cameras, but cant make up my mind and I would like macro, if not supermacro which my Fuji will do. I'm not very good at the zoom when I'm videoing either! |

| | | Re: Videos using a bridge camera Mines only the S5700 - and yes I think that applies to me too, lots of practice. You cant put video on the wall and although I only have one of my photos on display at the moment I've just bought a new frame to put some 6x4 prints in. |

| | | Re: Videos using a bridge camera Nice video - we've visited the Barnes wetland centre a couple of times - it's on the Beverley Brook which issues near me I use a Fuji E550 that my daughter discarded for my videos [posted in profusion on YouTube] and love the cam. I do closeups with a supplementary lens handheld over the cam lens - even a pair of reading glasses works at a pinch - try YouTube - video close-ups - try a spectacle lens before camera! |

| | | Re: Videos using a bridge camera How many pairs of hands do you have! In the dark ages I had an Agfa Isoletta and used supplementary lenses to do what they called 'table top' photography. One thing I did like was the yellow/orange filters to use when taking landscapes.
Just looked at the video - will give it a try...

| | | Re: Videos using a bridge camera I have a Panasonic FZ30 which takes Quicktime movies. I do not have Quicktime Pro to convert the movies to avi or some format acceptable for Windows Movie Maker.
I have googled this topic but I am slightly overwhelmed by the information available and the assumed level of knowledge - 'Me; I know nothing'.
What I am looking for is a simple converter, hopefully free, so that I can join together all the small takes on the same subject.
My littlest granddaughter is to be christened next Sunday. Can anyone help, please?
Thanks
Colin

| | | Re: Videos using a bridge camera Regarding my post above, I still have not managed to download a converter for quick time movies that show up as realtime in the file icon. This is largely inertia, fear of the unknown, rotten cold and other things to do of greater urgency.
I did take some fair movies of my grandaughter being christened as these play fineon my PC using quicktime or realplayer.
I cannot copy them to a dvd using Nero as I am instructed to use a cd for this purpose. When I copy them to a cd, they run in spasms. Dearie me.
Is it me?
I usually use dvd as part backup and I am also trying to provide a record my for daughter. Perhaps I should simply download the movies to a memory stick and get her to upload them.
Colin
PS Our granddaughter behaved impeccably throughout the ceremony and never bit the priest at all.
