| | | local lavender fields YouTube - Fragrant lavender fields - Carshalton Surrey nice about now. This is an interlace of vid from yesterday and stills from a previous visit. The lavender will be in full colour within a week or so and then I'll think I'm in the south of France again ;-)

| | | Re: local lavender fields I spent the whole video trying to spot weeds in the grass strips between the lavender, but I could only identify False Oat Grass |

| | | Re: local lavender fields It's a beautiful vid and Mayfield is a nice place to visit. I went there a tad early but may go again in a week or two.
Lol. I did a double take when watching that vid. I went there last week too, and there is a pic in the vid of someone crouching down to take a photo that looks a bit like me but I wasn't there on the 25th so it couldn't have been. Is it you?
They sell lavender plants at very reasonable prices too.

| | | Re: local lavender fields Yes, there is a man in the distance. There is also a still of a man at the end of the video. I think that was one of the people who was harvesting the lavender. There was a lady doing it when I was there, she was cutting the lavender and tying it into small bundles. They sell this at a stall on site and I bought a big bunch.

| Hi Susie - the interlaced 'stills' were taken last year [with the video this year] and my youngest daughter is the photographer in the vid [and I'm her dad] |
