| | | Grey squirrel behaviour video I was going to post this before but forgot, but now theres a new video section it seem an appropriate time
Before xmas I put down some seed on a log in my local park and then sat myself down with resting on the log camera next to the food. The end result was this: grey squirrel video - By Neil
There is a break down of what happens under the clip |

| | | Re: Grey squirrel behaviour video Hi new here. I joined having witnessed some squirrel behaviour yesterday which has left me flummoxed so hope to have some insight from some on here.
I have been watching and feeding a pair of squirrels since I have lived here. Just recently they have gone into mating mode.
Yesterday one of them ran along the fence carrying the other one in it's mouth. This was something of a labour of love as the carrying squirrel nearly dropped off the fence and at times was struggling to keep its grip one the one being carried.
My initial thought was that the squirrel had been injured in some way and may even have been dead.
Today only one squirrel has been around.
Any suggestions please. |

| | | Re: Grey squirrel behaviour video Hi Eyore, thanks for that but I don't think so. There is still only one around today and the pair of them were into serious bonking mode two days ago. |

| | | Re: Grey squirrel behaviour video One squirrel was slightly smaller than the other. Each had bushy tails but the smaller ones was smaller, if you see what I mean.
Both squirrels looked very fit (bright eyed and bushy tailed literally) and were very active prior to this, and so they should have been given the amount of bird food they have been eating.
Of course with no comparison available now I don't know which one is still here. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
