| | What a Gorgeous Sunny Day I thought I would start a gorgeous Sunny Day thread. I was on the Isle of Lewis today and it was beautiful, sunny, mild and very little wind.
Here is a pic of the beach in sunshine, has anyone else got some sunny pictures today?

We have had sun the last three days but the wind is very cold on the east coast, it has been an east/north easterly, we call it the lazy wind as it won't go around you it goes through you |

| | | Re: What a Gorgeous Sunny Day Lovely sunny day here in Buxton Spa, too. Spent most of the day making the most of the sunshine by giving a badly needed coat of polish to our camper van. Took the dog for a walk in the woods this morning and was rewarded by fresh diggings at a badger sett, looks as if they've moved back in, serenaded by a mistle thrush and had a brambling calling in the tree tops. Haven't located the GSW nest site yet, but still looking. Last year's tree was blown down in the gales.
Spent the weekend near Shrewsbury, lots of sunshine and lots of birds - buzzards, fieldfares, goldcrest, willow tit, treecreeper (very close views), nuthatch, GSW, tawny owl, little owl, yellowhammer as well as the more common species. So much to see that we'll be going again soon.

| | | Re: What a Gorgeous Sunny Day I wore sunscreen on my face/neck today (though I was still overdressed) but got my first slight sunburn of the year a day or two ago. Couldn't believe it had that effect so early in the year.
Lovely pic by the way. |

| | | Re: What a Gorgeous Sunny Day Quite chilly here in Berkshire compared to yesterday, I hope the weekend will be nice as we might chuck the tent in the car and do a couple of nights camping somewhere. |

| | | Re: What a Gorgeous Sunny Day Camped outside with my son last night. There was quite a heavy frost.
The sun came up and everything started warming up. So I said lets go to the beach.
Perfect weather, hardly a breath of wind. We dug and sculpted for hours in our t-shirts. Plenty of people were out enjoying summer tempratures. It must have been at least 21-22 c . Ended up going for Ice cream, guess what my daughter wants to do tommorrow. Only sorry I forgot the camera. |

I see Strathallan in Perthshire took the prize for temp. yesterday with 21deg. From Sutton Coldfield up to N Yorks it was a lovely day, and it looks as though we shall more of the same today. Hooray!
