Indian Summer?
Been great here in SE England this week but what are the origins of Indian Summer?

Someone told me that they had heard from listening to Radio 4 - that for a period in Autumn to be called an Indian Summer' - it has to follow a frost.

Personally I think that that Weekend of Friday September 30th - Sunday October 2nd - to personify the term.
