Had a couple of heavy showers in Lincolnshire today whilst driving home from Derbyshire, but nothing in Norfolk since I've been home.

a very short light shower this morning, but it only just about made the patio damp, as soon as it fell it was soaked up. then the sun came out between overcast periods

We're still getting a lot of rain here, i'd be very surprised if this area had a drought declared like other areas have.
Very often the days start out beautifully with sun and blue skies but then it gradually changes to rain - had loads of it the night and a day full of it tomorrow so i'm hoping that the blue skies and sun which are present now last !!!

Started raining yesterday p.m. with some lightning and thunder and we've had some all night, patchily. It's raining quite hard now. Just what we needed to keep the fruit on!

Rain for most of the day in Bakewell but it was certainly needed! Cold too and I actually ran the heating round for a couple of hours this afternoon

Tiz a bit dreary, damp and oppressive out there this evening. Not pleasant at all.

It's been raining since half three this afternoon and I'm now in bed and the damn gutter on the barn near the bedroom window is broken. Sounds like a waterfall in full flood!

It started raining here about midday, mainly light but steady and fairly continuous until about 20.30. What with the good soaking we had a few days ago, this rain has now got into the ground properly and the soil is now moist down to at least a spit deep, rather than just the top couple of inches. We've also had a few quite heavy showers over the last 2 or 3 days.
A bit more would be good and then we might get through the rest of the summer if it's a dry one.
