| | | 94 MPH Winds and no food deliveries Last night we were having gusts of over 90mph, 94mph between 10pm and 10.30pm, today its been lower at 69mph
Since Monday the shops have had only one food delivery, with no ferries to-day and the winds still being strong, back up to gusting 70ish tonight there will be no cargo ferry tonight! Its down to black tea and Ryvetas. Might have to buy up the Co-ops half price Christmas Tree Chocolates to sustain me!!
Being a bit of a weather buff I looked a head, love Metcheck weather site saw the winds forecast and blitz the co-op yesterday morning after the shelves were stacked!!!
Where else but the Hebrides would they employ a door man on Woolworths to try and open the door for you against the wind! The poor chap was frozen!
I expect its been bad else where but maybe you have had food deliveries......please could you send food parcels if get worse....perhaps the Stornoway helicopter will do a humane food drop for me......its the Health Board offices and I prefer dark chocolate to milk and red wine to white
You have to laugh otherwise you would cry!

Debs | Flippin heck Debs. You're in a bad way up there then. No wine. No way!
Seriously though, I hope it blows out soon for you. We're all sick of having bad hair days down here too!

| | | Re: 94 MPH Winds and no food deliveries I bravely fought my way to the top of a 200 foot high cliff on the south coast to take a picture of the sea in that.
The camera decided that for being so stupid it wouldn't take it, so i bravely fought my way down again | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
