Boxing Day's sky.
At lunchtime today the sun was shrouded with cloud.
Below the cloud, the clear sky had a beautiful pinky/orange tinge to it.
I thought this was unusual for the time of day (1:30pm).
There were no visable sundogs either side.
One assumes it was due to atmospheric refraction.
Can anyone explain why the sky would be such a pretty colour at that time of day?
