| | | snow and thunder at same time!!!! just saw lightening and heard thunder but its snowing!!! how is this possible and is good or bad thing!!!! |

Use the term "thundersnow" in a Google search and you should get some information. I don't know much about the phenomenon myself, but it sounds exciting. Hope you weren't stuck outside in it.

| | | Re: snow and thunder at same time!!!! We have sat and listened to the thunder (no lightening) something to do with ice particles in the clouds altering the electrical charge.

| | | Re: snow and thunder at same time!!!! I remember experiencing thunder and lightning during a snowstorm 15 years ago, whilst living in Newcastle upon Tyne. It happened at night when we were out walking in a local park (Jesmond Dene) - the whole landscape lit up, it was amazing.  Never had it happen again, though. |
