It seems that most people that I know do not share this view. | I couldn't agree more! I am EXACTLY the same, any weather I'm out there. In fact some of my best "spots" have been in poor weather. Wild deer, a hunting weasel, but the best ever, the sea eagles, spotted in torrential rain in the West Highlands whilst out on a 10 mile walk, and I also found THE MOST AMAZING bothy on that walk too, but that's a secret!
My friends also do not share my enthusiasm, they are "umbrella people" as I affectionately call them. They are astounded that I would want to hike in rain, snow, sleet, wind etc. I love it, and never carry a brolly, as I have far too many other things to carry! Dog leads, flask, tripod, camera, emergency chocolate, emergency hat, gloves, over trousers, torch.......OMG the list is endless...I am Ray Mears incarnate!
