| | | Autumn late or not? Keep hearing various comments in the media about Autumn being late this year, but we picked Blackberries a couple weeks ago, and don't usually get them until this month. There also seem to be a lot of ripe sloes about too.
Are you seeing things early too? |

| | | Re: Autumn late or not? I haven't checked in my gardening book yet but I saw a Laburnum tree in flower today and thought that was rather late. The rose hips are nice and big and red this year,could this mean we are in for a cold winter? |

| | | Re: Autumn late or not? Well I noticed the leaves beginning to noticeably turn colour around early September, quite a bit earlier than last year when it was closer to late September/beginning of October.
Blackberries became inedible much earlier, just turned to mush many of them never ripened. Last year there were edible blackberries well into October.
