Seems many a year since we had what I call a proper winter in Lincolnshire. I can remember though not being able to get to school as a child because the bus could not get through the snow on quite a few occaisions.

would be nice to have some over the Christmas holiday period, but some how don't think thats going to happen

We had more than enough - eight foot high snow drifts in March for the last two or three years.
