| | | severe weather warnings The Met Office is forecasting severe weather over Northern Ireland, western Scotland and parts of Northwest England today and this evening. By midnight tonight, another 25mm of rain is likely in most parts, and the mountains could see in excess of 50mm. With river levels already very high, this is likely to lead to local flooding and associated disruption. Gales will accompany the rain with gusts up to 70mph for a time before gradually easing later in the afternoon. While the worst of this particular event will be over by tonight, further wind and rain are expected over the next few days. |

| | | Re: severe weather warnings The winds have sure whipped up here today and sound as though they are getting stronger. It has also set somebodies car alarm off which is rather annoying.
I just nipped round the corner to my Mum's to secure some supplies then realised when I got back I had forgotten the damn teabags but I am NOT going back out there again. I will have to eek out my last few remaining tea leaves or resort to brewing one tea bag a few times!!!

| | | Re: severe weather warnings Certainly looks like a case of batten down the hatches, that's if they have forecast it right.
