| | | Rainfall Statistics Hi there
Does anybody know where you can get rain statistics that is not going to cost me £250 a shot. I tried the Met Office unless I wanted it for a school project thats what it was going to cost me.
What I would like is historical data for Benbecula and Stornoway and current data. The weather is very wet up here the last couple of months and since I can not get out much with my camera because of the weather and the dark, I need something else as a hobby and I also love the weather.
I once did this in Surrey where I used to live but our local water company kept daily rainfall figures on the internet.
Somebody suggested SEPA, any other thoughts.
Thanking you inadvance

| | | Re: Rainfall Statistics Sorry eeyore but I think the information quoted in the website was the average rainfall in mm, as its already showing figures for November and December, I also checked against another site and certainly it was quite dry in the islands for July and August. I have found the link very helpful though and my other half actually works at Benbecula Airport so I might see if he can obtain any figures from the tower. I have found when trying to find data personal weather stations on line very confusing as they are not so well controlled as met office data stations, but I think Benbecula Airport is regulated by the met.
Thanks again

| | | Re: Rainfall Statistics I run my own weather station - started as a hobby, but it is now an official Met Office Station - not Benbecula I'm afraid - I'm based in the Cairngorms National Park....... all data is freely available going back to Jan 2001 Strathspey Weather
