| | | Re: Gone off a bit Well we have just had a couple of radiators fitted in our computer room and utility room but unfortunately we were told that the pump might not be powerful enough to pump water to them (and it wasn't).
So we bought a new pump that the plumber recommended (next one up to what we already had) which Dave fitted last night but still only luke warm radiators! I'm sitting here in my woolly hat and fleece!

| | | Re: Gone off a bit Not too bad up here in the Outer Hebrides, very cold wind which has killed off my mint, but about 6c tonight, but still need by hot water bottle. Spent 3 hours walking around the balranald RSPB reserve this afternoon, got a little wind chapped but warm enough to tie coat around waist.

| | | Re: Gone off a bit Frost on my car for the first time this morning - brrrrrr!!
I had to put the central heating on for ten minutes as well this morning to take the nip out of the air.
It looks like it is going to be a beautiful day though with clear blue skies - ideal for a brisk walk. |

| Morning Jennywrenny. If you've other radiators which are not as necessary as the one say in the computer room, try switching them off and you just might get more warmth in the areas you really need it. Works for us.

Yes, first frost I've seen as well (also iin Cambs) though a colleague said they'd had one yesterday morning. Beautiful clouds in a blue sky.

Will the birds come flocking back to feeders now? Haven't noticed any special activity. Only a solitary wasp foraging though ... |

Tinkerbell | We have tried that but the new radiators are still only getting luke warm even with every other radiator in the house turned off. I have phoned the plumber to come out and have a look - we're not sure if it's because of the way the pipes are running, ie, the new ones are shooting off in a new direction? Will see what the plumber says. Thanks anyway Tinkerbell
