Well it may be a bit sleety, but we have our first glimpse of the white stuff this morning, some proper flakes coming down! Looking at the webcams, there's quite a bit up the road at the Cat and Fiddle The Cat & Fiddle Webcam A537 Buxton to Macclesfield Anyone else got any?

Looking out the window,we have our first settled snow, lodged in hollows only though on Alphin Pike, James, at about 1200ft!

Ken | well you have to start somewhere. On t'other side of the Pennines apparently snow level is a bit lower, I dunno they're always nicking our snow over there!

This is really spooky, last night as I was going to bed I wondered if anywhere had snowfall this time of year. I recall reading somewhere that some place had snow in september which stayed all winter. Obviously this might have been an exception, however I did have the feeling it was the norm.
I love snow but we seldom see it here in the the eastern flatlands

Kinder and Shelf Stones have a decent covering of snow this evening, I'd say from around 400m or so, though haven't been up there today, had a stroll around Lyme Park instead. More precipitation on the way though, so might have a bimble up there tomorrow, if it's still looking white. Hoping it's a sign of things to come, love playing in the white stuff |

Had some white stuff here earlier, think it was hail rather than sleet but nothing has settled on the ground anywat  |

I think we had the first fall of snow on the Cairngorms around the 2nd of November. There has been quite a bit more overnight, both on the Cairngorms and the Monadhliath to the west of Aviemore.
We are forecast wintry showers tomorrow, but I'm not sure what altitude that will be at. As long as the weather isn't too bad tomorrow, I'm hoping to get out for a bit of a walk. |

No snow down here in the New Forest, Hampshire, but the rain is bucketing down and if it carries on like this much longer, there will be floods again. The wind is getting up as well.
