really weird weather

ive just popped outside, here in dorset, following a day wedded to the laptop

and the wind is really really warm a product of hurricane george im sure but it is so warm!
will this bring interesting migrants? moths, butterflies and birds?

Yeah tis the same here in glos, blustery but v warm. Not gonna last long though is it, rain for the weekend.

Are your hatches battened? Strong winds and rain for the south west apparently, tonight, and then pretty poor weather countrywide tomorrow.

It is so warm tonight, the wind has dropped and there is a bit of cloud cover so I've set up the moth trap in the hope that I might get something interesting turn up. Failing that I've got a bottle of red wine to keep me company. Cheers!

I wish you had said that earlier Susie, it is a good night for mothing, but I am settled in now and can't be bothered to go to the shed and get the trap out......... ....
