Have my 'bins' at hand in case of visits from wayward Herons. | All those hills and your weigh bridge is in a valley..
Its peeing down here too...
I got drenched sorting the greenhouse out and planting some tomatoes and cucumbers as I was re-potting in the garden before it poured down. |

There's not much freeboard where we are, only inches above the water-table so the rain doesn't drain away as quickly as it might once the ground's saturated. Finger's crossed it'll ease off.

| | | Re: Whats your weather like today? It finally stopped raining around 5:00 pm yesterday evening or, should I say, it's paused. Heavy showers already this morning and the weather-man has thoroughly depressed me with his map of the North-East of Scotland for the next few days. Apparently Angus and Tayside got this month's rain yesterday but unfortunately that doesn't guarantee that we'll not get next month's as well !!! Had to turn about on the way home last night and take a ten mile detour to avoid floods and burst banks. The verges of some minor roads are subsiding and collapsing all over the place. A bit grim. Roll on Autumn.

Still very unsettled here looks like I will get wet again walking the dog as its too hot to wear a waterproof jacket no matter how much microfiber they use they still make you sweat like a pig.. |

As it happens my negative prognosis of this morning has, apart from one wild shower early on, failed to materialise. It's now mid-day and there has been a fair amount of sun and an ominous closeness but no further rain so far. I've heard the forecast for "T" In the Park (Perth & Kinross) is to be stormy, rainy and thunder-storms and lightning with hail thrown in possibly !!! Quite glad my concert going days are past.
El dear, if one is to be considered at all genteel one must remember that: "Horses sweat, gentlemen perspire and ladies simply glow"
