Whats your weather like today?

Snowed in here , no cars can get on/off estate , wife set off to walk 2 miles to school at 7am , school rang at 7.40am saying its closed so she"s got a long uphill walk to get home and she aint here yet .

We've been covered in snow here for about... now let's see, it started a week before Christmas... for about three and a half weeks. Just had another snow shower during the night. It's been snowing nearly every day to second day for over 3 weeks straight. I have never seen this much snow in my life, no exaggeration. From the first time it snowed, it has never even come close to completely melting away.

As for wife - methinks you had better be ready with a steaming mug of hot chocolate that has a large dollop of brandy (whiskey? Bacardi? Rum?) anything alcoholic enough to take her mind off where she has just tried to go ....



These are the view from snowed in Leigh at the min and thats my Lamborghini .... cough .... err Toyota on the front and its staying right there and I'm staying right in here unless there is a dire emergency ....

Thanks but we've got our own snow! Seems to be no traffic on the road at all - except for my wife who set off early only to find that her school was closed ....

Timing wrong for me to get stuck in a pub on the moors - since we've got six within 2 km it would be a bid difficult to get isolated in them .... but worse, maybe the beer won't get through.

Minus 5 this morning at 6 but has risen to just below freezing and has now clouded over. Is the west about to get some snow or just more freezing rain. The weather is coming from the Northwest but not a breath of wind to speed thing up, at ground level at least.

More heavy snow here in Teesside, but it's moving south to the south-east and London. I've been cycling to work and back, on the mountain bike, which is great fun.

Is anyone else finding that the weather forecasts have been really off lately? It seems every forecast I've paid attention to has been completely wrong. Due sun? We get a snow shower. Due snow? We get sun or rain or something.

We're due snow now, and it's clear skies and sun outside.

My forecasting has been very accurate for the past few days........
I just look out the window.
More heavy snow overnight here, around 6'' on top of the previous lying stuff, and its still coming strong, bit wet, so very sticky as the temp is fractionally above freezing.
Nice on the trees and shrubs, but very tough on birds - I went out last night and screwed a sheet of ply on top of the bird table, so no snow - and it worked!
Fortunately got enough beer in.
