I was dozing off on my sun lounger this afternoon when the wind suddenly whipped up ... ended up having to go indoors to continue my snooze (what a life, eh?!)

Persistent heavy rain for much of the night, but the storms did not make a direct hit. Some spectacular lightning to the east of here in the early hours. Looks a tad soggy over Glastonbury way.......

Just measured the rainfall at 09.00GMT and we've had 23mm (0.9") Friend in Dorchester reports 1.5". Almost stopped raining now.

It's been growing darker this last half hour, and now is raining heavily. Had to put the light on to see what I'm writing.
