Another couple form tonight. Getting into sunset photography. Don't have a descent camera to do it with though. Only my phone.

Nice set of pics Tringa of Loch Ewe and The Gairloch brings back many fond and horrid memories of army training  back in the 60`s but it was fun back then

Kayleigh been checking your pics great set of images and vidieo looks like you had a great time well done. Hope your next venture North for the winter is as enjoyable and you get your wish for the snow only thing is some times now its been getting later and at other times earlier with a lapse in between so heres hoping for you fingers crossed

It's a bit over rated IMHO and I really can't see why all the rich folk live/go there. One of my best friends lives there (he's not rich though!  )....and we shared his cottage, otherwise I'd have stayed to the West of the island.
However, the sunsets are pretty good  ....and I saw a few nice birds on the reserve they've created near the seafront.

A couple from the last week both taken at Kiveton Woodlands nr Sheffield
Not sure if the first counts as sunset cause it doesn't show the sun but I like the low light effect 
The second show the view towards the M1

Not been out shooting a sunset for a while, but paid a visit to one of my favourite spots last night. For the togs amongst us, yes, it's an HDR, 8 shots in total combined. 
By the way, Peak District heather is just reaching top condition and the Dark Peak moors will be carpeted in purple for the next couple of weeks, quite a spectacle on a nice sunny day. |

Saw this earlier this year: 
Can someone educate me and tell what that "halo" on the sun is called I forgot.
The scenery in Canada is so different, and that includes the sky. Not sure if all of these really count. The rainbow effect in the first pic is common but I most often see it in winter (that is not the best pic of it, im going to search through my files in a sec) . EDIT:That dust storm one was not the picture I intended  .  
EDIT:
Ok found my older pics:
They were all taken while I was on my doorstep watching seagulls migrating.The last one reminded me of lava a bit.
