| | | Re: Cloud .. or fog? Nice image of a seasonal valley phenomenon. I think it happens when the air cools quickly and the temperature of the river water is comparatively high (before it too cools). I've seen it in the lower Conwy valley in the Henryd - Ty'n-y-groes area. |

A similar thing happened here yesterday morning freezing fog suddenly rolled in and with temperatures around -8C it made it really bitter I can tell you.Then a few minutes later it was gone as fast as it appeared.My brother who lives in Biggar South Lanarkshire phoned me yestertday and mentioned it was foggy there all day yesterday.
