| | | Re: wrap up warm Yes the temperature here in Suffolk has been around the 5 mark , usually this time of year its about 10 and damp. Its definately been colder so far this winter.Had quite a few sharp frosts as well. sheila

Although I do worry about older people struggling to keep warm at the moment. They spend the majority of their pension on heating bills 
More should be done to help them!

More should be done to help them! | Yes you cant beat a nice brisk walk to keep warm, I dont only think it pensioners who will have trouble affording to keep warm this winter at least they do get heating allowance, the disabled dont qualify for that which to me is not right as disabled people cant move much to keep warm. sheila

I was forgetting about the heating allowance. It's a disgrace it only benefits some people and not others who could do with it just as much, if not more.
That said, I think all of us will struggle with the bills this year

| | | Re: wrap up warm Going out bird-watching in a mo. Wearing 3 pairs jogging bottoms, 2 thick jumpers, 3 heavy cardigans, an all-in-one waterproof suit, 2 pairs socks, welly boots, 2 pairs gloves, and a thick woolly gat - hopefully should be warm enough!!! Cold and grey outside again.... |
