Hi Sonia, have'nt checked our local weather yet, but I hope it's not going to be as thundery as it was yesterday around the Banbury area. We keep loosing power in the village where I live when we have storms and yesterday was a pearler, the downside is I hav'nt been able to get on the WAB site much at all this weekend, we only got our phone line back this morning. So if your right Sonia, it could well be a candle lit salad for tea Wednesday/Thursday, but my better three quaters will be pleased we can spend a bit more time together instead of me being on the WAB, even if it staring out of the window cause theres no telly .

Geoff

Do you mean Alton Towers? I think a thunderstome hitting when you are 30ft up in the air on some crazy coaster might have been worse I wonder what they do at places like alton towers when lightning starts striking they've got an awful lot of tall metal things there haven't they!

They closed all the rides with the storms and downpours from half 3. Rollercoasters stopped, water rides, cable cars and monorail. So from then on it was just to find shelter, although we did go in hex!.

Like everyone else, East Cheshire is at melting point. And if the weather doesn't make a serious shift in mood before weekend, we might be stuck with warm sticky weather for another three weeks.

Re: Another heatwave this week..

Its quite hot here in mid Cornwall, but no doubt cooler on the coast. It's nice weather but also its annoying knowing that we have to do watering again tonight!

Do not forget the wildlife ,make sure the water supplies are maintained in a shady area safe from predators

Re: Another heatwave this week..

I've been waiting all week for a good armageddon-style storm to try my new camera on but nothing so far.

Mum says she heard on the radio that August is supposed to be even hotter.
